Heater

Electrical installation, simply explained

Electric sauna heaters need a dedicated circuit (heater options for this cabin run up to 6.0kW), wired in by a qualified electrician before first use. It's a routine job, similar in scope to installing an electric shower or an EV charger.

  • Must be installed by an NICEIC or Part P certified electrician, to BS 7671 standards
  • Worth getting a quote before delivery, so your sauna is ready to use as soon as it's built
  • Full wiring specifications are included in the product manual

Our larger barrel with seating for up to four, in heat-treated Nordic spruce. Thermowood is kiln-heated at around 200°C, which drives out moisture and alters the timber's cell structure, giving it far greater dimensional stability and natural resistance to rot than untreated wood.

Built with a 42mm log wall, the cabin holds its warmth evenly and ages gracefully through every UK season. Aspen benches inside stay comfortable against the skin, thanks to the wood's naturally low thermal conductivity. A small anteroom gives you a place to change and settle before you step into the heat. Roof covering and fixings are included as standard.

Choose your heater below, including our Harvia wood-fired option. Delivered in a flat-pack kit and self-assembled over a weekend.

Installation & electrics

All electrical work must be carried out by an NICEIC or Part P certified electrician to BS 7671 standards. This is arranged directly by you and is not included in the sauna price.

The sauna must be erected on a firm, level base with a damp-proof membrane beneath the first row of timber.

Please check all components against the parts list before beginning assembly, and contact us before you start if anything is missing, damaged or incorrect.

Care & warranty

5-year structural warranty covering the timber and joinery from the date of delivery, which remains valid as long as the sauna is properly maintained in line with the care guidance in your product manual.

Pro tip: Thermowood's exterior naturally mellows in tone over time. We recommend a UV-protective finish to keep its rich, warm colour looking its best for longer.

Natural timber may show knots, grain variation, or minor surface marks. These are characteristics of real wood, not defects.

Full terms are in our Warranty Policy.
